Station 2 members, along with other members of the Vineland Fire Department, attended a Water Rescue Drill at the Vineland YMCA on Sunday, January 31, 2010.  Chief Higbee of Down Township Fire/Rescue provided instruction on basic water and ice rescue. 

 

The photo on the left below shows Chief Higbee provides instruction on how to properly dispense a rope throw bag as F/F Recruit Karl Anderson prepares to practice the technique.  In the middle picture, F/F Michael Urgo and F/F Seth Velez prepare with other department members to be "tenders" to personnel in the dry suits.  In the photo on the right, F/F Seth Velez is suited to be a rescue swimmer by F/F Michael Urgo, which is his tender.
